Oxlade Pays Tribute To Dagrin On 12th Death Anniversary
Afrobeats singing sensation, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman (Oxlade) has paid tribute to iconic Nigerian rap artiste, Dagrin on his 12th death anniversary.
The legendary Nigerian rapper, officially known as Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun died in April 2010 after he smashed his car into a stationary truck around 3am at Mushin, Lagos.
As Nigerians remember the late Dagrin 12 years after his tragic demise, young talented singer, Oxlade took to his official Instagram page to pay an emotional tribute to the Nigerian superstar.
He wrote; “I never spend this day without thinking about you. Your candlelight ended in front of Luth gate Mushin… Right in front of my Granny’s shop. You may be gone, but not forgotten. Keep protecting us Namesake”.
Oxlade who featured in Sakodie’s non living thing seemed to be saddened by the fact that he lost a good rapper and friend 12 years ago. The emotional post generated lots of comments under his post on instagram. Many of his followers consoled him and shared in his pain.
According to some, the late rapper would have been a hit sensation just like Oxlade had it not been for his untimely demise. The late rapper is said to have been very talented just like Dj Neptune, Davido and the likes.
May his soul rest in peace.
