How Music Me And My Family From Poverty- Kwesi Authur

Kwesi Authur has expressed gratitude his passion for music has given him the chance to escape from poverty together with his extended family.

Speaking to mainstream radio personality Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Kwesi Arthur stated that he would not have been who he is today if it weren’t for music.

The Son of Jacob album creator said he is now in the position to help his family members and other vulnerable people around him after dividends he has raked from music. He is quoted as saying;

‘My family is better off because of music; I wouldn’t be known if it weren’t for music, and music has allowed me to travel to new countries. I was able to travel because of music; in fact, I came to Accra because of music. I’m a Tema kid, and we don’t like to travel out to Accra in Tema.

First and foremost, he must enjoy music. Some people consider music as glamorous; they see musicians driving good vehicles and surrounded by women, and they want to get involved; but, I believe that to be great, you must be dedicated.’
