Ghana’s hottest striker Afena Gyan who doubles as a player for AS ROMA in the Italian Seria A is going to be a threat against the Nigerian team as speculated by some Nigerian fans.

Afena Gyan who started his football playing career in the western region of Ghana was scouted during an inter schools football competition and from there, he signed for AS ROMA’s youth team. The versatile striker repayed that trust by scoring two goals in crucial matches to help AS ROMA juggle their way past opponents. Afena Gyan is described by many as the best striker to replace Ghana’s leading scorer Asamoah Gyan and will be Ghana’s hope if Ghana is to qualify.
