Labone Honeysuckle fire swiftly curbed by firefighters
Labone’s popular Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant experienced a sudden fire outbreak on Saturday, October 26, 2024, around 5 p.m. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) officers responded with remarkable speed, arriving within minutes and working tirelessly to bring the flames under control.

The team’s efforts were supported by Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) officials, who promptly disconnected the power supply to eliminate any risk of reignition, ensuring a safer environment for both the firefighters and surrounding areas.
Assistant Division Officer Alex King Nartey, in a statement on GNFS’s official Facebook page, commended the seamless coordination between GNFS and ECG. He emphasized that the swift, professional actions taken by both teams played a crucial role in securing the area and preventing extensive damage to the beloved pub.
