In an official statement signed by Public Relations Head Juliana Hariwa, the hospital confirmed the incident occurred while clinicians were handling multiple emergencies. According to the statement, relatives and friends of accident victims “invaded the emergency triage,” disrupting operations and creating tension.

“Their overwhelming presence hindered patient care, caused undue stress, and even endangered our medical staff,” the statement read. The hospital condemned the assault as “unacceptable,” warning that such actions “compromise lives.”
