A tragic accident occurred today, November 19, 2024, on the Accra-Tema Motorway, claiming the life of a Sprinter bus driver, Isaac Atsu Hanu, aged 42.
The bus, with registration number GT 4867-13, was enroute from Tema Adjei Kojo underbridge to Lapaz when the incident happened on the Tema motorway.

According to a survivor, Louis Djamgma, the driver lost control while trying to avoid a pothole, causing the vehicle to cross the median, veer into the opposite lane, and crash into a nearby bush. Several passengers sustained injuries.
The National Ambulance Service responded swiftly, transporting the injured for medical care and the deceased to the mortuary.
