
Three suspected armed robbers have been shot and killed by officers of the Tema Regional Police Command during a late-night gun battle at the Tema Industrial Area.
According to a police statement, the shootout occurred in the early hours of Monday, July 21, 2025, after law enforcement responded swiftly to a distress call. The report indicated that a group of about ten armed men had broken into a warehouse in the area.

When police patrol teams arrived at the scene, the armed suspects reportedly engaged them in a firefight, prompting the officers to return fire. In the exchange, three of the suspected robbers were shot and later pronounced dead at the scene.
The remaining suspects fled, with some believed to have sustained gunshot wounds during the confrontation. A manhunt has been launched to track and arrest the escapees.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue in Accra for identification, preservation, and autopsy.
Law enforcement authorities have assured the public that all efforts are underway to apprehend the rest of the gang. They also urged anyone with relevant information—especially regarding wounded individuals seeking medical attention under suspicious circumstances—to report to the nearest police station.
