Playback: Newsfile Discusses Press Freedom Ranking And E-Levy Issues

Reporters Without Borders in its 2022 Press Freedom Index placed Ghana in the 60th position out of 180 countries globally and 10th in Africa.

This ranking has enraged many members of the public, who believe it reflects poorly on the country.


While urging President Akufo-Addo to sit up and speak up against threats against media freedom.

Due to the recent outcries, today’s Newsfile featured a discussion with the guests to determine the facts and find a solution.

Also to be dissected is the failed injunction of the three NDC MPs on e-levy and the promise by former President John Mahama to repeal the E-Levy Act if voted into power in 2025.
