Joe Ghartey consoles Veep on the passing of his mother

Joe Ghartey, has consoled Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, on the passing of his mother, Hajia Mariama Bawumia.

Dr. Bawumia’s mother passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.

In a statement, Hon. Ghartey, the MP for Essikado Ketan Constituency, says “it is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Hajia Mariama Bawumia.

On behalf of Efua and I, I send our deepest condolences to H.E Alhaji Dr Mahamadu Bawumia’s family at this difficult time.”

” We mourn with you and celebrate the extraordinary life of this remarkable woman. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,” Hon. Joe Ghartey said.

The passing of Vice President’s mum came as a shock to all who loved her. The veep and his mum shared a close relationship known to all. Dr. Bawumia had a ‘soft’ spot for her mum and treated her with the needed respect every mother needed.

He even extended this kind of respect to all mothers he met in his line of duty. The humility, meekness and humor he approaches them with, will make you understand the depth of his love for his mother.

Hon. Joe Ghartey who is also a good friend to the Vice President was saddened that, a good friend has lost his beloved mother.
