I Have A Tough Skin Now — Kuami Eugene Tells Critics

For the short time he has been in the limelight, it seems Highlife artiste, Kuami Eugene, can qualify as one artiste who has chalked up huge successes and can also pass as having been at the receiving end of most criticisms.

He has won many awards, including the coveted Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) Artiste of the Year in 2020, mounted international stages to perform, and headlined concerts, both home and abroad, among others.

And for the bad news, Kuami Eugene has been criticised for ‘stealing’ songs, bad fashion sense and other issues, including neglecting a man who claimed to be his father.

However, the Angela hitmaker says he is unfazed by the negative stuff, adding that he has a tough skin now.

“I have been in the industry for close to five years and heard things about me over and over again, but I am not moved anymore. I used to be bothered about those things some time ago, but not anymore. I was worried especially when the things said about me were not true.”
